Breeding Rabbit Rules

 Chairman: Steven Payne

 Advisor: Hali Wagner

The Breeding Rabbit Division is subject to all rules listed under the general rules.  Judging rules will follow the ARBA Standard of Perfection.

  1. All entries will be paid on the day of show, the entry fee is a total of $10 per head.
  2. Judging will begin immediately following the market rabbits on the Thursday of the show. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to be certain that their animal is on the judging table at the time of the show.
  3. No crossbred rabbits may be shown. All breeds of rabbits to be shown must be found in the ARBA Standard of Perfection.
  4. No one but the rabbit division person appointed by the chairman of the rabbit division may be behind the judging table.
  5. All rabbits entered in the wrong class or by wrong sex will be sifted as well as any rabbits having ear canker, colds, or sore hocks.
  6. Rabbits must be tattooed in the left ear.
  7. The Grand and Reserve Champion Rabbit of the show will receive an award and a belt buckle. Rosettes will be given to the Breed Champion and Reserve Breed Champion.
  8. The show chairman will determine classes at the time of entry. In order for an individual breed class to be shown there must be more than 8 rabbit entries by at least three exhibitors. Breeds with 8 or less entries will be grouped as All Other Breeds.
  9. Breeding Rabbit classes will be based on the ARBA Standards of Perfection class breakdowns (4 class or 6 class breed).
  10. Animals will be released after the judging is complete.
